Lorissa Kelly

Bach Comm (Hons, First Class), Curtin University of Technology/University of Guelph (Canada). Lorissa Kelly is a forward thinking young leader with a background in business and politics. Lorissa was a recipient of the John Curtin Undergraduate Scholarship, Curtin University. This is awarded to academically gifted students who display John Curtin's qualities of vision, leadership and community service. Lorissa honours thesis, 'Stakeholders, Politics and Power: Towards an Understanding of Stakeholder Identification and Salience in Government' received first class honours and awarded Curtin Business School's ‘Best School of Marketing Honours Thesis'. Her expertise lies in qualitative research, especially in civil society's interaction with the state, and political research. Lorissa led community development programs and she implemented a mentoring program for at risk children for a Curtin University regional partnership program. Lorissa has worked in marketing, politics and public sector holding public relations consultant positions with leading PR firms and was political researcher for a Western Australian Member of Parliament.
