End of year Function 2011

Thanks to all those who turned up to our End of year function at Heathcote Gallery and Museum on 1 December.  It’s been a busy year for us, and it looks as though the advocacy side will continue to take up a lot of time, with concerns over heritage at the Esplanade and associated sites, the recent Auditor General’s report on the problems with protecting Aboriginal heritage sites involving mine sites and the ongoing implementation of the Australian Curriculum Framework.  However, we also have a fun side and we are looking forward to some great History in the Pub events, our AGM lecture, and what ever else we can think of to promote history.

In the meantime, have a wonderful festive season.

Lise Summers

President, History Council of WA
