14.05.11 – Finding our Western Australian Gallipoli Dead

Finding our Western Australian Gallipoli Dead

A talk by Shannon Lovelady, Archivist, Historian, Curator, Presbyterian Ladies’ College Archives

Presented by the History Council of Western Australia and the Army Museum of Western Australia as part of the 2014 Western Australian Heritage Festival

When Shannon Lovelady realised that the numbers of our Western Australian Gallipoli dead had not been determined, she set out to do something about it.

Many volunteer groups and individuals have assisted in this project.

Celebrate Mother’s Day by hearing how Shannon and her team went about identifying the men and the personal stories that emerged during their research.
