Annual State History Conference

This year the Annual State History Conference of RWAHS Affiliated Socities is being hosted by the Eastern Goldfields Historical Society in Kalgoorlie/Boulder from Friday evening 3 September with a Welcome Reception at the historic Hannan’s Club. Enjoy the Conference on Saturday 4 September in the 113-year old Boulder Town Hall, followed by the Conference Dinner in the famous Hoover Room of the Palace Hotel. On Sunday morning 5 September, guided bus tours of the area, including the Super Pit, are being organised. Transport is being organised from the various Hotels/Motels.

You may want to stay another night as the Coolgardie Cup is being held on Sunday afternoon in Kalgoorlie at the Racecourse. Conference delegates are being offered free admission and a tour of the Museum.

All History Council members are very welcome to attend part or all the Conference. The RWAHS is organising a private carriage on the Prospector Train if required.

Never been to a History Conference? It is always an enjoyable weekend. With accommodation in short supply in September, it is important to book very soon.
