The purpose of the rally is to show public objection to the current proposal and to finalise signing of the petition. Even if you have already signed the petition it is essential that you come to The Esplanade on Sunday 26th February and show publicly your democratic right to have a say in the future planning of your city.

Development is fine. But this proposal is unoriginal, ugly and will be a disruption to the goings on of Perth for a decade or more. People complain about wasted space…the proposal replaces a green usable space with a blue unusable one. Riverside drive is one of the nicest roads to drive along in Perth, 2nd possibly only to Mounts Bay Rd. I don’t mind boardwalks, cafes, etc but I don’t think high rise is what the people of perth want to see right on the our riverfront. And it is OUR riverfront.
I also believe the price tag was not worth the sacrifices made to Fiona Stanley Hospital and other healthcare works across the state.
Fully support your efforts.
